Mesaba U.S. Trustee asks court to force company to file monthly operating reports

By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, June 16 - Mesaba Aviation Inc.'s U.S. Trustee asked the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Minnesota to force the company to submit its operating reports for April and May, according to a Thursday filing.

The U.S. Trustee said failure to submit the operating reports denies creditors and the U. S Trustee the ability to monitor the company's post-bankruptcy operations, including losses and accrued liabilities.

According to the motion, the reports are especially important because the company is alleging large monthly losses and threatening to liquidate.

A hearing is scheduled for June 27.

Mesaba, an Eagan, Minn.-based Northwest Airlines affiliate, filed for bankruptcy on Oct. 13, 2005. Its Chapter 11 case number is 05-39258.
