Mesa Air Group reports $341,000 operating loss for May; revenues down

Pittsburgh, June 21 - Mesa Air Group, Inc. reported a $341,000 operating loss for May on $65.63 million in total revenues, according to its monthly operating report filed Monday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The figures showed a decline from the $1.51 million of operating income posted for April on $70.59 million in total revenues.

The net loss for May was $2.63 million, widening from a $1.61 million April net loss.

Mesa had $60.83 million in cash and cash equivalents at May 31, up from $57.48 million at the end of April.

Mesa Air, a Phoenix-based provider of passenger and airfreight services, filed for bankruptcy on Jan. 5 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York. The Chapter 11 case number is 10-10018.
