Mesa Air Group gets 120-day extension to file plan, solicit votes

By Lisa Kerner

Charlotte, N.C., April 15 - Mesa Air Group, Inc. was granted an extension to its exclusive periods to file a plan of reorganization and solicit votes on the plan, according to a Thursday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

The court extended Mesa Air's exclusive plan filing period to Sept. 2 from May 5 and the solicitation period to Nov. 3, 2010 from July 6.

Mesa, when requesting the extension, noted the size and complexity of its cases and said the debtors have more than 10,000 creditors.

Mesa Air, a Phoenix-based provider of passenger and airfreight services, filed for bankruptcy on Jan. 5. The Chapter 11 case number is 10-10018.
