Moody’s assigns Meritor notes B1

Moody’s Investors Service said it assigned a B1 rating to Meritor, Inc.’s planned $275 million of senior unsecured notes.

Meritor’s other ratings, including the Ba3 corporate family rating and the B1 senior unsecured debt rating, are unaffected.

The proceeds will be used to redeem a portion of the 6¼% senior unsecured notes due 2024.

The outlook is negative.
