Meridian Automotive unsecured creditors committee named

Pittsburgh, May 10 - Meridian Automotive Systems, Inc.'s U.S. Trustee appointed the official committee for unsecured creditors for the company's Chapter 11 bankruptcy case, according to a Tuesday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

The committee will be made up of Claudia Cromie of Metropolitan Life Insurance Co., based in Morristown, N.J.; Luc Houle of Caisse de depot et placement du Quebec, based in Montreal; Niraj Ganatra of International Union, UAW, based in Detroit; Claudia McKellick of Bose Corp., based in Framingham, Mass.; Thomas Robbins of Ridgeview Industries, Inc., based in Grand Rapids, Mich.; Thomas Fitzpatrick of Saint-Gobain Vetrotex America, Inc., based in Valley Forge, Pa.; and Matthew Paroly of Delphi Corp., based in Troy, Mich.

Meridian is a Dearborn, Mich., supplier of front and rear end modules, lighting, exterior composites, console modules, instrument panels and other interior systems to automobile and truck manufacturers filed for bankruptcy on April 26. Its Chapter 11 case number is 05-11168.
