By Jennifer Chiou

New York, Feb. 4 - Mercury Computer Systems Inc. repurchased $119.69 million of its 2% convertible senior notes due 2024, according to an 8-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The company said it paid par plus accrued interest.

Mercury Computer added that it used a combination of cash on hand and proceeds from the sale of U.S. Treasury securities it held.

The company originally sold $125 million of the convertibles in April 2004.

Mercury Computer is a Chelmsford, Mass.-based maker of computer products for real-time digital signal and image processing.
