Mentor investor sells shares, converts notes for 5.4% stake

Charlotte, N.C., Jan.2 - Mentor Corp. investor HBK Master Fund LP sold 470,135 shares of the company's stock on Dec. 30 and Dec. 31 priced at $30.93 and $30.92 each, respectively.

The investor also acquired 1,275,621 shares of Mentor for $28.81 each through the conversion of 2.75% convertible subordinated notes due 2024, according to a schedule 13D/A filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Following the transactions, HBK beneficially owns 1,905,486 shares, or 5.4%, of the Santa Barbara, Calif., medical products company.
