Mayflower Communities reaches deal with trustee; cash use extended

By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, March 13 – Mayflower Communities, Inc.’s cash collateral use has been extended to April 5 in connection with a settlement agreement in principle reached with trustee UMB Bank, NA, according to an order filed Tuesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas.

Mayflower said the agreement in principle resolves “the primary disputes in this case,” and a settlement motion will be filed with the court.

The hearing on the settlement motion will be held on April 5.

The company said the settlement documents include a proposed final consensual cash collateral use order. A hearing on the cash collateral use will be held on April 5.

As a result, the cash collateral use has been extended though the hearing date from March 8.

Mayflower Communities, an Addison, Texas-based provider of elder care and senior living facility services, filed bankruptcy on Jan. 30 under Chapter 11 case number 19-30283.
