Anthem to conduct offering of fixed-rate notes in three parts

Chicago, Sept. 4 – Anthem, Inc. plans to offer fixed-rate notes in three tranches, according to a 424B3 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes, due in 2025, 2029 and 2049, will have a make-whole call until one month prior to maturity for the 2025 notes, until three months prior to maturity for the 2029 notes and until six months prior to maturity for the 2049 notes, then a par call for each series of notes.

BofA Securities, Inc., Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC and J.P. Morgan Securities LLC are the bookrunners.

Proceeds will be used general corporate purposes.

Indianapolis-based Anthem is a health benefits company.
