Masonite president and CEO appointed to board

Pittsburgh, Nov. 18 - Masonite International Inc. said president and chief executive officer Fred Lynch has been appointed to the board of directors of Masonite and its principle U.S. and Canadian operating companies, according to a company news release.

Lynch replaces Scott Nuttall, who resigned from the board.

According to the release, Lynch joined Masonite in July 2006 as president and was appointed executive officer in May 2007.

Before joining Masonite, Lynch served as president of Human Generics at Alpharma Inc.

He earned a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from Villanova University and an MBA in finance from Temple University.

Masonite is a Tampa, Fla.-based manufacturer of residential and commercial doors.
