MarkWest Energy pricing $1.2 billion 10-year bullet notes Thursday

Portland, Ore., May 28 – MarkWest Energy Partners, LP and its subsidiary MarkWest Energy Finance Corp. plan to price $1.2 billion of non-callable 10-year senior notes (expected ratings Ba3/BB) on Thursday, according to a syndicate source.

An investor conference call was scheduled to get underway at noon ET.

Wells Fargo Securities LLC is the left bookrunner for the public offering. Barclays, BofA Merrill Lynch, Citigroup Global Markets Inc., Goldman Sachs & Co., J.P. Morgan Securities LLC, Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC, RBC Capital Markets, SunTrust Robinson Humphrey Inc., UBS Investment Bank and US Bank are the joint bookrunners.

BBVA, BNP Paribas Securities Corp., Capital One, Comerica, Natixis, PNC Capital Markets and SMBC Nikko are the co-managers.

The Denver-based oil and gas master limited partnership plans to use the proceeds to fund tender offers for its notes due in 2020, 2021 and 2022.
