MarkWest Energy Partners $200 million notes talked at 7% to 7¼%

St. Louis, Oct. 18 - MarkWest Energy Partners LP/Finance Corp.'s $200 million offering of 10-year senior notes (B1/B+) emerged with price talk of 7% to 7¼% Monday, according to a market source.

Pricing is expected to take place Wednesday.

JP Morgan and RBC Capital Markets are joint bookrunners for the Rule 144A issue. Fortis, Jefferies & Co., Lehman Brothers, Piper Jaffray, SG Securities and Wachovia Securities are co-managers.

Proceeds will be used to repay the Denver natural gas production and transportation company's revolving credit facility.
