By Paul A. Harris

St. Louis, Oct. 18 - MarkWest Energy Partners, LP and MarkWest Energy Finance Corp. will host an investor call at 10 a.m. ET on Tuesday for a $500 million offering of 10-year senior notes (B1/BB-), according to an informed source.

The deal is set to price Tuesday afternoon.

Wells Fargo Securities, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Barclays Capital Inc., Morgan Stanley & Co. Inc. and RBC Capital Markets Corp. are the joint bookrunners for the offering, which has been registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes come with five years of call protection and have a three-year 35% equity clawback.

Proceeds will be used to fund the tender offer for the company's notes due 2014, as well as to repay bank debt, to provide working capital and for general corporate purposes.

MarkWest is a Denver-based natural gas, natural gas liquids and crude oil company.
