MarkWest files automatic shelf for common units, debt securities

New York, Jan. 14 - MarkWest Energy Partners LP and MarkWest Energy Finance Corp. jointly filed an automatic shelf registration covering common units and debt securities as well as their guarantees in an S-3ASR filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The company will use the proceeds for general corporate purposes, which may include refinancing transactions.

MarkWest is a Denver-based natural gas gathering and transmission company.
