Markit replaces GenOn Energy with Amgen as new addition to LCDX index

Tacoma, Wash., Sept. 24 - Markit Group Ltd. said that Amgen Inc. will be added to the Markit LCDX index instead of GenOn Energy, Inc. when the index rolls into series 15 on Oct. 4.
GenOn was one of five new additions to the index announced on Wednesday. However, Markit said that upon further review, the company is not eligible to be added to the index.
As previously reported, the other additions to the index are Avaya Inc., CDW Corp., Reynolds Consumer Products, Inc. and Smurfit-Stone Container Corp.
The companies to be removed from the index are Boston Generating, LLC, Chrysler Financial Services Americas LLC, Mirant North America, LLC, RRI Energy, Inc. and Wm. Wrigley Jr. Co.
