Markit purchasing loan portfolio and risk management software company

New York, July 28 - Markit has agreed to acquire FCS Corp., a provider of portfolio and risk management software and services to syndicated loan market participants, according to a news release.

FCS is being bought from JPMorgan.

The combination of FCS and Markit will create the leading provider of independent loan market data and software, currently used by over 400 financial institutions to manage over $1 trillion in assets.
