Moody's assigns Marcolin notes B2

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned a definitive B2 corporate family rating to Marcolin SpA.

Concurrently, the agency assigned a B2-PD probability of default rating to the company and a definitive B2 rating to the €200 million of notes due 2019.

The outlook remains positive.

Moody's said the action reflects the closing of the planned acquisition of Viva Optique Inc. in early December 2013. Following the acquisition, the combined group became the fourth player in the global eyewear market.

The transaction was financed by the proceeds of the €200 million senior secured notes issued on Nov. 7.
