Seattle, Oct. 5 - Manor Care, Inc. announced on Friday that its special meeting of stockholders on Oct. 17 will now be held at the company's headquarters in Toledo, Ohio.

Previously, the meeting was to be held in the auditorium of One SeaGate in Toledo.

The meeting time is unchanged at 2 p.m. ET, and the record date is Sept. 10.

The meeting is being held in connection with Manor Care's July 2 agreement to be taken private by the Carlyle Group in an all-cash transaction valued at $6.3 billion. Manor Care shareholders will receive $67 in cash per share.

Manor Care provides short-term post-acute and long-term health care.
