Manitoba five-year dollar debentures expected to price Tuesday

Tupelo, Miss., April 9 – The Province of Manitoba (Aa2/A+) provided additional details of its upcoming dollar-denominated offering of series GX global debentures in a 424B3 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The bonds due April 16, 2024 are expected to price on Tuesday, a market source said. Initial price talk was in the mid-swaps plus 28 basis points area.

BMO Capital Markets Corp., National Bank of Canada Financial Inc., Scotia Capital (USA) Inc. and TD Securities (USA) LLC are the bookrunners.

The debentures are not callable.

Proceeds will be used for general government programs and advances to the Manitoba Hydro-Electric Board.
