By Jennifer Chiou

New York, Nov. 4 - The Province of Manitoba registered for sale to the public $750 million of debt securities and warrants in an S-B filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Friday.

The filing added that the prospectus in the registration statement also relates to $1.5 billion and another $750 million of previously registered and unsold debt securities and warrants.

In total, the prospectus covers one or more offerings for up to $3 billion of the securities.

Any proceeds are slated for general government programs and loans and advances to various Crown corporations, agencies, boards and commissions, including the Manitoba Hydro-Electric Board.
