Magnum Hunter files $250 million shelf for stock, preferreds, debt

Knoxville, Tenn., Sept. 29 - Magnum Hunter Resources Inc. filed a $250 million shelf registration in an S-3 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The registration covers debt securities, common stock, preferred stock, depositary shares and warrants, and guarantees of the debt securities.

The securities may be structured as convertibles.

Proceeds will be used for capital expenditures, working capital, acquisitions, debt repayment or refinancing, stock repurchases or general corporate purposes.

Magnum Hunter is an Irving, Texas, independent exploration and development company.
