Magna Entertainment Maryland Jockey Club auction, hearing postponed

Pittsburgh, Jan. 6 - Magna Entertainment Corp. said the auction and sale hearing for the proposed sale of the Maryland Jockey Club have been postponed, according to a Wednesday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

The auction has been adjourned to Jan. 21 from Jan. 8 and the sale hearing to Jan. 25 from Jan. 20.

Magna, an Aurora, Ont.-based owner and operator of horse racetracks, filed for bankruptcy on March 5, 2009. Its Chapter 11 case number is 09-10720.
