Magna Entertainment creditors committee appointed

Pittsburgh, March 19 - Magna Entertainment Corp.'s official committee of unsecured creditors has been appointed by acting Region 3 U.S. trustee Roberta A. DeAngelis, according to a Wednesday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

The committee members are Alex Tae Change of the Bank of New York Mellon, based in New York; Jared Feldman of Sunrise Partners LP of Greenwich, Conn.; Elizabeth M. Pilecki of Jockeys' Guild, based in Nicholasville, Ky.; Patrick L. Kehoe of the New York Racing Association, Inc. of Jamaica, N.Y.; Benjamin Pass of GLG Market Neutral Fund of New York; Robert Michael Collins of Madison Capital Management, LLC of Greenwood Village, Colo.; and Richard E. Hancock of the Florida Thoroughbred Breeders' and Owners' Association, based in Ocala, Fla.

Magna, an Aurora, Ont.-based owner and operator of horse racetracks, filed for bankruptcy on March 5. Its Chapter 11 case number is 09-10720.
