Macrovision's Software Business Unit credit facility to launch this week

By Sara Rosenberg

New York, March 3 - Macrovision Corp.'s Software Business Unit's proposed credit facility is expected to launch with a bank meeting this week, although the specific day is not yet available, according to a market source.

BMO Capital Markets is the lead bank on the deal.

Proceeds will be used to help fund Thoma Cressey Bravo's purchase of the Software Business Unit in a cash transaction valued at about $200 million.

The acquisition will result in a stand-alone company focused on providing services that help simplify the business relationship between software producers and enterprises.

The transaction is expected to close on or before April 1, subject to customary conditions, including review under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act.
