Lumena Resources plans senior notes via BOC, Credit Suisse, Deutsche

New York, Oct. 7 - Lumena Resources Corp. said it plans to sell senior notes in an offering to be brought to market by joint bookrunners BOC International, Credit Suisse and Deutsche Bank Securities Inc.

The amount, maturity and other terms will be set at pricing.

The notes will be sold under Rule 144A and Regulation S.

Of the proceeds, $123 million will be used to repay a loan from BOCI Leveraged & Structured Finance Ltd. that was dated Aug. 4. The amount includes accrued interest and breakage costs.

Proceeds will also be used for capital expenditures and general corporate purposes.

Lumena is a miner, processor and manufacturer of thenardite products based in Chengdu, China. It is the world's second largest thenardite company by production capacity. Thenardite is used in the manufacture of glass and paper, among other products, and as a medical ingredient.
