Buffalo, N.Y., April 4 – Anglo American Capital plc priced $1.5 billion of notes in two parts on Wednesday, according to information provided by a market source.
The company sold $1 billion of 5.75% 10-year notes at 145 basis points over Treasuries, lower than talk in the 175 bps area.
The second series is $500 million of 6% 30-year notes, priced at 160 bps over Treasuries. Initial talk was in the Treasuries plus 190 bps area.
Citigroup, Morgan Stanley, Santander, SMBC and Standard Chartered Bank are the bookrunners.
The company is a financing arm of London-based mining company Anglo American plc.
