Louisiana defeases 2006-C, 2009-A and 2011-A general obligation bonds

Norfolk, Va., Nov. 25 – The State of Louisiana defeased its series 2006-C, 2009-A and 2011-A general obligation bonds, according to a notice.

The following were defeased:

• $37.99 million of 2006-C bonds due May 1, 2026, to be redeemed on May 1, 2016;

• $91.46 million of 2009-A bonds due May 1, 2020 through 2027, to be redeemed on May 1, 2019; and

• $99,095,000 of 2011-A bonds due Sept. 1, 2021 through 2027, to be redeemed on Sept. 1, 2020.

Whitney Bank is the paying agent for the 2006-C bonds, Wells Fargo Bank, NA is the paying agent for the 2009-A bonds, and the Bank of New York Mellon Trust Co., NA is the paying agent on the 2011-A bonds.
