Louisiana defeases $204.12 million of various G.O. bonds

Norfolk, Va., July 7 – The State of Louisiana defeased $204,115,000 from various series of its general obligation bonds, according to a notice.

The following were defeased:

• $8,255,000 of series 2006-B 5% bonds due July 15, 2014;

• $8,725,000 of series 2013-C 5% bonds due July 15, 2014;

• $18,005,000 of series 2012-A 5% bonds due Aug. 1, 2014;

• $1,495,000 of series 2005-A 5% bonds due Aug. 1, 2014;

• $75,055,000 of series 2005-A 5% bonds due Aug. 1, 2014;

• $11.09 million of series 2011-A 5% bonds due Sept. 1, 2014;

• $23,255,000 of series 2004-A 5% bonds due Oct. 15, 2014;

• $535,000 of series 2010-A 3% bonds due Nov. 15, 2014;

• $22,315,000 of series 2006-C 5% bonds due May 1, 2015;

• $7.95 million of series 2009-A 5% bonds due May 1, 2015;

• $15.38 million of series 2012-B 4% bonds due May 15, 2015;

• $100,000 of series 2013-A 3% bonds due May 15, 2015; and

• $11,955,000 of series 2013-B 0.4% bonds due May 15, 2015.

Whitney Bank is the paying agent for the 2006-B, 2006-C, 2013-A, 2013-B and 2013-C bonds. The Bank of New York Mellon Trust Co., NA is the paying agent for the 2004-A, 2005-A, 2010-A, 2011-A, 2012-A and 2012-B bonds. Wells Fargo Bank, NA is the paying agent for the 2009-A bonds.

Regions Bank Corporate Trust in Baton Rouge, La., is the escrow trustee.
