Fitch rates Lotte, notes A-

Fitch Ratings said it assigned Lotte Shopping Co. Ltd. a foreign-currency senior unsecured A- rating, along with an expected rating of A- to its proposed senior unsecured dollar-denominated notes.

Lotte is a leading retailer in Korea, encompassing department stores, discount stores, supermarkets, convenience stores, TV home shopping and internet shopping, Fitch said.

The company is one of the key affiliates in the Lotte Group - a major conglomerate in Korea, the agency said.
