Loral gets bridge order extending its exclusivity until July 27 hearing

Washington, July 2 - Loral Space & Communications Ltd. obtained a bridge order extending its exclusive right to file a plan of reorganization until a July 27 hearing.

According to a Friday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York, the satellite maker wants to extend its exclusivity periods, but because of the court's calendar a hearing cannot be held until July 27.

Loral's exclusive period to file a plan ends July 12.

The company filed for bankruptcy on July 15, 2003. Its Chapter 11 case number is 03-41710.
