Moody’s affirms London Stock Exchange

Moody's Investors Service said it affirmed London Stock Exchange Group plc's A3 long-term issuer and senior unsecured debt ratings, and the A3 long-term issuer rating of London Stock Exchange plc, with stable outlooks.

In affirming the long-term ratings, the agency said it considered the uncertainties and governance challenges the company is facing following recent events involving the board's establishment of a chief executive officer succession plan.

Moody's said it believes the interim CEO is capable of overseeing the company with the board's support until a new CEO is appointed, and that the inherent risks during this period of leadership transition are mitigated by the underlying health and diverse range of operating activities and commitment to adhere to its existing financial plan.
