Moody’s might lift London Stock Exchange

Moody's Investors Services said it placed London Stock Exchange Group plc's Baa2 senior unsecured and issuer ratings under review for upgrade. The Baa1 issuer ratings are also under review for upgrade.

The review was prompted by performance improvements at the group as well as the expected sale of the Frank Russell investment management business.

Moody's expects a majority of the proceeds from the sale will be used to pay down the £600 million committed bank facility put in place last year to partially fund the acquisition of the Frank Russell Co.
