Local Insight Media secures exclusivity extension amid Ambac talks

Pittsburgh, July 12 - Local Insight Media Holdings, Inc. obtained an extension of its exclusive periods to file and solicit votes on a plan of reorganization, according to a Tuesday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

The company's exclusive filing period was extended to Aug. 14 from June 15 and the solicitation period to Oct. 14 from Aug. 15.

In requesting its latest extension, Local Insight said it hoped to complete negotiations with Ambac Assurance Corp. regarding amending directory publishing agreements soon and then file its reorganization plan.

Local Insight, an Englewood, Colo., publisher of print and online directories, filed for bankruptcy on Nov. 17, 2010. Its Chapter 11 case number is 10-13677.
