Bank of Scotland to fully redeem £100 million 12% subordinated bonds Jan. 30

Lexington, Ky., Dec. 16 – Bank of Scotland plc will redeem in full its £100 million 12% perpetual subordinated bonds (ISIN: GB0000395094) on Jan. 30, according to a company notice.

The bonds, originally issued on June 2, 1997 and formerly known as Halifax PIBS, will be redeemed at par plus accrued and unpaid interest.

Payment will be made to bondholders of record at the close of business on Dec. 31.

Law Debenture Trust Corp. plc is the trustee.

Bank of Scotland is a banking and financial services company based in Edinburgh and a subsidiary of London-based Lloyds Banking Group plc.
