Fitch affirms Lithuania

Fitch Ratings said it affirmed the Republic of Lithuania's long-term foreign and local currency rating at A- and A, respectively.

At the same time, the agency affirmed the short-term foreign currency rating at F2.The long-term outlook is positive, the local currency outlook is stable.

Fitch said Lithuania's sovereign creditworthiness has improved markedly in recent years as structural economic reforms, underpinned by European Union membership, strengthened macroeconomic stability, enhanced medium-term growth prospects and reduced the economy's vulnerability to shocks.
