Moody's: Lithuania eurobond Baa1

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned a Baa1 rating to Lithuania's $750 million reopening of its eurobond maturing in March 2021.

Moody's Baa1 rating for Lithuania's eurobonds is in line with the government's issuer rating, which is currently Baa1 with a stable outlook.

Moody's said the rating for the eurobond and for the tap of this issuance are supported by the country's moderate economic strength and high institutional strength. Lithuania has a small economy that has displayed marked volatility in recent years because of the harsh effects of the global financial crisis. However, medium-term growth prospects are relatively dynamic as the economy resumes its path of convergence with fellow E.U. members.
