Andrx: FDA inspecting Davie, Fla., Plant

Washington, March 13 - Andrx Corp. said the Food and Drug Administration is inspecting its Davie, Fla. manufacturing facility.

The company said the inspection was expected.

The announcement was made in an 8-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Andrx, based in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., commercializes generic versions of controlled-release, niche and immediate-release pharmaceutical products, including oral contraceptives.
