Brazil’s Light plans to price benchmark five-year dollar notes

New York, April 17 – Light Servicios de Electricidade SA and Light Energia SA plan to issue dollar-denominated five-year notes guaranteed by holding company Light SA, according to market sources.

BB Securities, Citigroup, Santander, Bradesco, Itau and XP Securities are the joint bookrunners of the Rule 144A and Regulation S notes.

The proceeds of the deal are earmarked to finance upcoming debt maturities.

Rio de Janeiro-based Light is an electric utility.
