Fitch rates Light bonds BB-

Fitch Ratings said it assigned BB- ratings to Light Servicos de Eletricidade SA’s and Light Energia SA’s planned $400 million and $200 million, respectively, senior unsecured eurobonds due 2026. Holding company Light SA will guarantee the bonds.

Fitch rates the three entities' foreign-currency and local-currency long-term issuer default ratings at BB- and long-term national scale rating at AA-(bra).

The proceeds will be used to redeem the notes due 2023 with the remainder, if any, used for general corporate purposes, including the repayment of other indebtedness.

The outlook is stable.
