Charlotte, N.C., Nov. 24 - Life Time Fitness Inc. shareholders led by Green Equity Investors V, LP have had general discussions with the company's management but plan to have more "specific and substantive dialogue" in the future regarding ways to enhance shareholder value.

The discussions could include a going-private transaction, refinancing or new financings, strategic acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures or other similar transactions, according to a schedule 13D filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Green Equity, a 9.2% shareholder, said it may also seek representation on Life Time's board of directors.
