Liberty Mutual postpones $500 million subordinated notes due 2061

Knoxville, Tenn., May 11 – Liberty Mutual Group Inc. has postponed a $500 million offering of subordinated notes due May 15, 2061 that was being talked in the 4.625% area, a market source reported.

The notes would have come with 10 years of call protection.

Citigroup Global Markets Inc. and J.P. Morgan Securities LLC were the underwriters.

Liberty Mutual is a Boston-based property and casualty insurance company.
