Liberty Medical asks court for fifth exclusivity extension for asset marketing

New York, May 23 - Liberty Medical Supply, Inc. is seeking an additional extension of its exclusive plan of reorganization filing and solicitation periods, according to a May 22 filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

The company asked that its exclusive filing period be extended to Aug. 15 from June 13 and its solicitation period to Nov. 4 from Sept. 2.

Liberty said the extension will allow it to complete its ongoing marketing process that began March 10 and has generated “multiple indications of interest,” according to the motion.

A hearing is scheduled for July 12.

Liberty Medical, a Port St. Lucie, Fla.-based health-care products home delivery provider, filed for bankruptcy on Feb. 15, 2013. The Chapter 11 case number is 13-10262.
