S&P affirms LG Electronics

S&P said it affirmed its BBB long-term issuer credit rating on LG Electronics Inc. The outlook is stable.

At the same time, S&P affirmed the BBB long-term issue rating on the company's senior unsecured medium-term note program.

“We affirmed our rating on LGE to reflect our view that the company will maintain stable operating performance over the next two years, owing to the strong market position of its core home appliances and home entertainment businesses and well-diversified product portfolio,” S&P said in a news release.
