Moody's: LG Electronics notes Baa2

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned a provisional Baa2 rating to LG Electronics Inc.'s proposed $2 billion global medium-term note program.

At the same time, Moody's has affirmed LG's Baa2 issuer and senior unsecured bond ratings.

The outlook is negative.

"Moody's expects LGE to use the proceeds from any near-term drawdowns under the program to refinance its outstanding debt and therefore have no material impact on its credit metrics," Moody's vice president and senior analyst Annalisa Di Chiara said in a news release.
