Fitch: LG Electronics view positive

Fitch Ratings said it affirmed LG Electronics Inc.'s long-term foreign-currency issuer default rating at BBB and assigned a long-term local-currency issuer default rating of BBB and a senior unsecured rating of BBB to its two outstanding foreign-currency senior unsecured bonds of $1.1 billion.

The outlook was revised to positive from negative.

The positive outlook reflects LG's solid preliminary consolidated operating results for the financial year that ended Dec. 31, the agency said, and a belief that the company's financials will continue to improve.

Fitch said it will consider upgrading the ratings if the company is able to sustain a proportional consolidated net leverage ratio below 1.5 times.
