S&P changes LG Electronics view to stable

S&P said it revised its outlook on LG Electronics Inc. to stable from positive and affirmed the long-term issuer credit rating on the company at BBB.

“The stable outlook reflects our expectation that LGE will maintain its steady financial metrics over the next one to two years. This is despite pressure from macroeconomic conditions and weak demand, based on the good position of the company's core businesses and disciplined financial policy,” S&P said in a news release.

S&P forecasts LG Electronics' debt-to-EBITDA ratio at 1.5x-1.8x over the next two years, compared with 1.2x in 2021.
