Lehman Brothers set to distribute $7.6 billion to unsecured creditors

New York, March 26 – Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc.’s plan administrator will make a seventh distribution to unsecured creditors totaling $7.6 billion, according to a news release.

The distribution will be comprised of $6.3 billion in payments to third party claimants and $1.3 billion to claimants of Lehman and its controlled affiliates.

With this distribution, Lehman’s distributions to unsecured creditors will total approximately $99.6 billion, according to the release.

An eighth distribution to unsecured creditors is expected to be made by Oct. 7, 2015.

New York-based Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. was the fourth-largest investment bank in the United States. The company emerged from bankruptcy on March 6, 2012.
