Lehman Brothers Holdings: Claims bought in several transactions

Charlotte, N.C., Feb. 27 - Golden Tree Master Fund, Ltd. bought four claims against Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. totaling $28.6 million, according to documents filed Monday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

Golden Tree bought two $12.9 million claims and two $1.4 million claims from Merrill Lynch International.

In addition, according to separate filings with the court

• OZ Special Master Fund, Ltd. bought two $4.5 million claims from Goldman Sachs Lending Partners LLC.

• Serengeti Lycaon MM LP bought two claims from JPMorgan Chase Bank, NA totaling $5.2 million.

• Serengeti Opportunities Partners LP also bought two claims from JPMorgan Chase Bank totaling $5.2 million.

• York Global Finance BDH, LLC bought two $1.6 million claims from Barclays Bank plc.

• Goldman Sachs Lending Partners LLC bought two claims totaling $4.5 million from Serengeti Opportunities Partners.

New York-based Lehman Brothers Holdings was the fourth-largest investment bank in the United States. The company filed for bankruptcy on Sept. 15, 2008. Its Chapter 11 case number is 08-13555.
