Lehman cash and investments total up to $22.62 billion in February

Pittsburgh, March 18 - Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. had $22.619 billion in cash and investments at Feb. 28, up from $22.517 billion at the end of January, according to its monthly operating report filed March 18 with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The February cash and investments total included $50 million of loan principal, $14 million of loan interest, $103 million of derivative collections from live/terminated trades, $42 million of private equity/principal investment principal and $6 million of private equity/principal investment interest.
New York-based Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. was the fourth-largest investment bank in the United States. The company filed for bankruptcy on Sept. 15, 2008 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York. Its Chapter 11 case number is 08-13555.
