Taconic Opportunity Fund buys $43.8 million of claims against Lehman

Savannah, Ga., March 10 - Taconic Opportunity Fund LP bought $43.8 million of Goldman Sachs & Co.'s claims against Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc., according to filings made Thursday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.
Specifically, Taconic bought a $26.4 million claim, an $8.6 million claim and an $8.8 million claim against Lehman from Goldman Sachs.
Additionally, Taconic Capital Partners 1.5 LP bought $6.5 million of Goldman Sachs' claims against Lehman Brothers.
Taconic Capital Partners bought a $1.7 million claim, a $1.2 million claim and a $3.6 million claim against Lehman from Goldman Sachs.
New York-based Lehman Brothers Holdings was the fourth-largest investment bank in the United States. The company filed for bankruptcy on Sept. 15, 2008. Its Chapter 11 case number is 08-13555.
